Outbreaks of workplace violence and theft are not unusual in even the most secure of facilities. With aircraft and ground vehicles available on 24/7 notice, iDefend’s Special Operations teams can be deployed on a moment’s notice to mitigate further threats to employees, customers, and assets.

Although they work together seamlessly, iDefend’s Special Operations group is actually divided into two distinct teams - the iDefend A.I.R. Team (Advanced Incident Response), and the iDefend A.R. Team (Advanced Reconnaissance) .

Thanks to the advanced skills of both of these tactical and investigative focused team members, iDefend’s A.I.R. Team professionals place the highest priority on first, putting a stop to the issue. Concurrently, the A.R. Team can immediately begin an in-depth investigation to identify the perpetrator(s) and recover stolen goods - along with developing a comprehensive prevention plan to thwart further outbreaks. iDefend’s Special Ops team leadership has been instrumental in discovering crimes and recovering millions of dollars of stolen assets in large client operations.

The A.I.R. Team rapidly responds to major incidents involving theft, drugs, vandalism, arson, workplace violence, among other issues. The Team’s disciplines and responsibilities include:

Mobilization
  • Immediate response and assessment of incidents with on-site management and, if necessary, local law enforcement.
Mobilization
  • Alerts sent to nearby community businesses and organizations regarding the incident.
  • BOLO (Be On the Look Out) aimed at area wide businesses (e.g. pawnbrokers, used equipment dealers, etc.) to aid in stolen property recovery.
  • Local Media communications interface with incident updates in conjunction with a law enforcement BOLO, etc.
Mobilization
  • A.I.R. Team begins full measure of investigation protocols.
  • Evidence gathering.
  • Conducting interviews.
  • Issuing progress updates to all parties (clients, other law enforcement agencies, etc.)
  • Incident documentation for insurance purposes.
  • Post-investigation determination of additional steps needed to mitigate repeated incidents (physical security measures, undercover measures, etc.)

Because they are poised to respond on a 24/7 basis, the A.I.R. Team, which is scaled in size proportionate to the incident, prepares far in advance of their call to react to a security issue with a thorough threat assessment, incident response plan, and team deployment logistics.
